Today’s Speaker Stacie Blake from Community Tampa Bay
Stacie Blake joined Community Tampa Bay as Executive Director in April, 2008. The agency mission is to promote dialogue and respect among all cultures, religions and races and envisions a community free from discrimination. Working with a variety of partners: schools, youth serving agencies, faith communities, corporations and individuals the agency promotes inclusion by addressing the challenging issues of prejudice, privilege, bias, bigotry, racism, homophobia, sexism, ageism, xenophobia, disabilities and host of other topics.
Born and raised in Ohio, Stacie attended college at the University of Vermont. She holds two degrees from UVM, a bachelors in Political Science and a master’s in Public Administration. While at UVM she was a founding member of the Presidents Commission on the Status of Women. She has served in the non-profit sector for her entire career, working with battered women and their children, survivors of crime, refugees, immigrants, and survivors of political torture.
While in Vermont she was appointed to the Governors Workforce Council on Equity and Diversity by both Governor Howard Dean and Governor Jim Douglas. When leaving the program for Florida she was recognized by the Vermont Legislature with a Joint Resolution of Appreciation for her work with refugees and immigrants across the state.
She previously served as an elected member of the Huntington School Board and as a representative on the Executive Board of the Mount Mansfield Union School District. She received the Marshall Dimock Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service from the Public Administration Program at the University of Vermont. She is an Associate of the Snelling Center for Government-Vermont Leadership Institute and a graduate of the Non-Profit CEO Advanced Leadership Program of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. Currently she is an officer of the Tampa/Hillsborough Human Rights Council and a member of the Project PRO$PER Loan Committee, a Pinellas program to support newly arrived working immigrants with financial education, loans and matched savings.

Enclosed is the check for the grandfather match. I don’t know if you need this or not, but my new granddaughters’ name is Madison Grace Merrill. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. Lee Merrill.
Call me if you need anything else. By the way is this a record? Sure as heck seems like it. All my crap is coming back to haunt me.
Click Slocumb
From Kathy Condon: Yes, Click, it is a record. What goes around comes around. Golly, we may even need to hold the granddaughter’s check until we are sure her grandpa’s check clears.
